Rebranding of a Discount Grocery Chain
Grocery Outlet, with it’s 150 + independently owned stores, is recognized as the nation’s largest grocery extreme-value retailer. At the time we were engaged to redesign the retail store experience it was known as “the dented can store”. This was truly an unfair moniker and did not accurately convey the great bargains and selection of offerings. Their range is wide: groceries, frozen, deli & refrigerated, produce, fresh meat, general merchandise — seasonal products, housewares, toys, and gifts — health & beauty, and a most impressive inventory of beer & wine.
We gave the stores a fresh, organized look which emphasized the great deals and the thrill of finding something wonderful. We were involved in overall store planning, store signage, exterior and interior colors and finishes, interior graphics, lighting and merchandising.
